The company I was working for in 2017 had a project management issue. The division I was a part of had over a hundred projects at any given time and all resources were shared across all projects. This created a coordination bottleneck with constant miscommunication and misunderstandings. The first thing I did to help with this was to introduce Agile development practices and set up daily standups to increase the frequency of communications. Once that was in place I set out to build an enterprise project management and resource tracking system to help improve the pipeline planning and project forecasting function of management.
